Dr Baron completed his veterinary degree at the University of Queensland in 1997.  He entered into mixed practice in central north NSW for 2 years, before furthering his career in Scotland and England, where he met and married Karen.

Baron and Karen moved back to Australia in 2006 and worked in a busy small animal practice on the Gold Coast for 7 years, until relocating to Baron’s hometown of Brisbane.  They purchased Kedron Veterinary Clinic in 2013, and hope to follow on its tradition of providing excellent client service.

Baron’s veterinary interests include all areas of small animal medicine and surgery with special interests in dentistry and geriatric pet health.  Outside of clinical practice, Baron places his focus on supporting community events, overseeing client relations and continuing education.  Baron is certified in Penn Hip Scoring which allows further study of hip dysplasia. Outside of work, Baron enjoys surfing, skiing, walking and spending time with his family and friends. 

Dr David is an integral member of our Veterinary Team. He joined us in early 2021 as our practice grew and became too busy for one man alone. You’ll find him in the clinic on Mondays and Thursdays attending to all of your pet’s health needs in consultation. David graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Queensland in the year 2000 and soon after spent 3 years living and working in the UK. He has a special interest in canine and feline internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.

Outside of work, David is a devoted family man and loves to spend his weekends with the kids or bushwalking.

Karen started her career in the veterinary industry in 1998, working as a receptionist for a small animal practice in her home town of Bexhill, a small town on the south coast of England.  It was here that she developed her interest in veterinary nursing and went on to become a qualified veterinary nurse in 2002.

She met Baron during her time at the Bexhill clinic, and they married in 2004.  Karen brings over 19 years of experience in the veterinary industry to her role as Practice Manager of Kedron Veterinary clinic.  Karen’s interests within nursing include surgical nursing and problem solving.  Karen places her focus on establishing high standards of in-clinic procedures and polices, staff management, overseeing client relations and managing administrative elements of the clinic. Outside of work Karen enjoys swimming and travelling, but most of all loves spending her time with her family, friends and family pets, Beau and Bernie the Labradoodles. 

Tori joined our team in October 2018 as a qualified Veterinary nurse, graduating from her certificate 4 in Veterinary nursing June 2018.

Tori’s special interests within nursing include surgical nursing, x-ray procedures and dental care. 

Tori is very focused on establishing high standards of patient care and strong client relationships.

Outside of work, Tori enjoys travelling, renovating, watching movies and relaxing at home with family and her beloved dog, Charlie.

Steph joined our team in April 2019 as a volunteer and has now competed her training, becoming a qualified veterinary nurse and working full time.

She started out her career in a different field altogether, being a university fashion graduate and working in that industry for over 4 years. Wanting a more fulfilling and hands on role, she took the leap over to the animal industry and has loved every moment of it.

Steph’s special interests within nursing include surgical care, feline care and dentals.

Outside of work, Steph enjoys yoga, run club, iced lattes, adventuring and renovating. She owns a Kelpie dog (Lexis) and a Mandalay cat (Myra), who definitely run the house!

Shirine joined our team in late 2023 and brings the sweetest nature! After many successful years in the IT industry, Shirine made the decision to follow her heart and pursue a career in the animal industry. She has completed a Certificate 3 in Animal Studies (Veterinary Nursing) and has spent the last 4 years embracing the joys and challenges associated with veterinary nursing.

Shirine genuinely loves all aspects of her role and her approach is characterised by kindness, gentleness and a commitment to the overall well-being of every animal that comes into her care.

In her spare time Shirine enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, getting out into nature and relaxing at home with her shadows – Maple the dog, Louie the cat and Pebbles the kitten.

Connor is a new nurse on our Veterinary Team, joining in February 2025. Connor is from Sydney, Australia and has been studying a Cert IV through ACVN. 

Connor’s veterinary interest lies in anaesthesia, canine remedial massage and hydrotherapy, with a keen interest in promoting animal health. He aspires to work in conservation initiatives around the world with aims to be the best nurse he can be. Outside of clinical practice, Connor enjoys music, singing a little too much, yoga, spending quality time with friends and family, exploring nature, hiking and swimming. At home he has a plushie, little anxious Cavoodle (Lexi), who is never happy with amount of love she receives.

 

Jenna is a new nurse on our Veterinary Team. She recently relocated to Brisbane from Perth and is enjoying experiencing life on the East Coast. 

Jenna’s interests at work include surgical nursing and a commitment to advocating for pet health.  She is dedicated to approaching all patients in a gentle and respectful manner, ensuring  a positive experience for both pets and owners. 

Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending her free time exploring nature, hiking, reading books, and spending quality time with her family and two playful cats Lucy and Luna.
