Dr Baron Jonsson
Vet Director and Principal Surgeon
Baron and Karen moved back to Australia in 2006 and worked in a busy small animal practice on the Gold Coast for 7 years, until relocating to Baron’s hometown of Brisbane. They purchased Kedron Veterinary Clinic in 2013, and hope to follow on its tradition of providing excellent client service.
Baron’s veterinary interests include all areas of small animal medicine and surgery with special interests in dentistry and geriatric pet health. Outside of clinical practice, Baron places his focus on supporting community events, overseeing client relations and continuing education. Baron is certified in Penn Hip Scoring which allows further study of hip dysplasia. Outside of work, Baron enjoys surfing, skiing, walking and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr David
Part Time Veterinary Surgeon
Outside of work, David is a devoted family man and loves to spend his weekends with the kids or bushwalking.
Dr Emma
Part Time Veterinary Surgeon
You’ll see Dr Emma around mostly on weekends for your pet’s consults! Emma has an interest in ultrasonography and all facets of small animal medicine and surgery.
Her animal family includes a Mini Groodle named Pax and her hobbies of keeping fit, art, fine dining an travelling keep her busy outside of work.
Karen Jonsson
Practice Manager
She met Baron during her time at the Bexhill clinic, and they married in 2004. Karen brings over 19 years of experience in the veterinary industry to her role as Practice Manager of Kedron Veterinary clinic. Karen’s interests within nursing include surgical nursing and problem solving. Karen places her focus on establishing high standards of in-clinic procedures and polices, staff management, overseeing client relations and managing administrative elements of the clinic. Outside of work Karen enjoys swimming and travelling, but most of all loves spending her time with her family, friends and family pets, Beau and Bernie the Labradoodles, and cat Dotty the domestic shorthair.
Tori
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Tori’s special interests within nursing include surgical nursing, x-ray procedures and dental care.
Tori is very focused on establishing high standards of patient care and strong client relationships.
Outside of work, Tori enjoys travelling, renovating, watching movies and relaxing at home with family and her beloved dog, Charlie.
Steph
Senior Veterinary Nurse
She started out her career in a different field altogether, being a university fashion graduate and working in that industry for over 4 years. Wanting a more fulfilling and hands on role, she took the leap over to the animal industry and has loved every moment of it.
Steph’s special interests within nursing include surgical care, feline care and grooming.
Outside of work, Steph enjoys yoga, iced lattes and adventuring. She owns a Kelpie dog (Lexis) and a Mandalay cat (Myra), who definitely run the house!
Meg
Veterinary Nurse
Meg is passionate about medical management and grooming, she even has her own dog grooming business, Hounds with Hair, which she operates two days a week.
At home, Meg has her three beloved and very spoilt cats Miko, Chino and Covey and her two dogs Otty and Wally plus her horse Bella!
Shirine
Veterinary Nurse
Shirine genuinely loves all aspects of her role and her approach is characterised by kindness, gentleness and a commitment to the overall well-being of every animal that comes into her care.
In her spare time Shirine enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, getting out into nature and relaxing at home with her shadows – Maple the dog, Louie the cat and Pebbles the kitten.
Lachlan
Trainee Veterinary Technician
Lachie enjoys camping, computer games and having a good laugh.
He has had many pets throughout his life including two budgies, two guinea pigs and three dogs. Lachlan currently has a Cavoodle named Angus and an Australian Labradoodle called Indi at home.
