Baron Jonsson

Vet Director and Principal Surgeon

Dr Baron completed his veterinary degree at the University of Queensland in 1997. He entered into a mixed practice in central north NSW for 2 years and then went onto further his veterinary career in the Scotland and England where he met and married Karen.
They both moved back to Australia on the Gold Coast in 2006 and worked in a busy small animal practice for 7 years until deciding to relocate and settle in Baron’s hometown of Brisbane. Baron and Karen purchased Kedron Veterinary Clinic in 2013 and hope to follow on its tradition of providing an excellent client service.
Baron’s veterinary interests include all areas of small animal medicine and surgery with special interests in dentistry and geriatric pet health. Outside of veterinary medicine Baron places his focus on supporting community events, overseeing client relations and continued education. Baron has recently become certified in completing his Penn hip score which allows further study of hip dysplasia. Outside work, Baron enjoys surfing, skiing, walking and spending time with his wife, children, family and friends 

Karen Jonsson

Practice Manager

Karen started working in the veterinary industry in 1998 starting as a receptionist, for a small animal practice in her home town of Bexhill, a small town on south coast of England. It was here she developed her interest in veterinary nursing and went on to become a qualified veterinary  nurse in 2002.

During her nursing career in Bexhill  it was here she met Baron and later went on to become married in 2004. With over 19 years of experience within the veterinary industry it was only natural Karen became the practice manager of  Kedron Veterinary clinic. Karen’s interests within nursing include diagnostic medicine and surgery, outside of nursing Karen places her focus on establishing high standards of in clinic procedures and polices, staff management, overseeing client relations and managing administrative elements of the clinic. Outside of work Karen enjoys swimming and traveling, but most of all love’s spending her time with her husband, daughter, son, family, friends and family pet’s, Beau the Labradoodle, cats Dotty and Millie the domestic shorthair’s.  

Kirra Pearce

Senior part time Veterinary nurse
Marketing Director
Puppy Preschool Coordinator

Kirra joined our team in February 2014 as a senior veterinary nurse.
Kirra has more then 11 years experience as a nurse and within Kedron Vet Clinic has a diverse role as our senior nurse, puppy preschool co-coordinator and managing Kedron’s marketing activities and events.                                                                                                                    Kirra’s interests with nursing include wildlife rehabilitation, animal behaviour, and surgical nursing.
Outside of nursing Kirra places her focus on marketing, building strong customer relationships, teaching pet safety and teddy bear surgery to the local childcare centre’s.                                                                                                                                                                                                       Outside of work Kirra enjoys being active outdoors by hiking, stand up paddle boarding and camping.
But most of all love’s spending her time with her husband, daughter, family, friends and her pet’s, Jet the Border Collie x and D’Artagnan the ginger Domestic shorthair.

Pippa

Head Veterinary Nurse

Pippa joined our team in January 2015 as a volunteer gaining a range of practical skills for the completion of her certificate IV in Veterinary nursing. As a valuable member of the team, Pippa was made one of our Veterinary Nurse’s in November 2015.
Pippa’s special interests within nursing include orthopedic’s, surgery, pathology and wildlife rehabilitation. Outside of nursing Pippa places her focus on establishing high standards of patient care, training staff and general scheduling of the day.
Pippa endeavour’s to continue her study by completing a certificate III in Captive animals.
Outside work, Pippa enjoys being active outdoors by walking her dog Dela the Staffy x Whippet and spending time with her husband, family and friends.

 

Meg

School based Traineeship

Meg joined our team in April 2016 as a volunteer school student looking to gain a range of practical skills within the animal industry . As a valuable member of the team, Meg was made our kennel hand and vet nurse assistant in May 2016. Meg is currently working towards finishing high school, and once graduated would like to go on and study Veterinary science.                                                                           Meg’s special interests within her job role include hydro bathing and assisting our nurses and vet’s with patients.
Outside of work, Meg enjoys riding her horse Sasha the Arabian , cooking and spending quality time with her dog’s Wally the Labrador x Staffy and Otty the Shih Tzu x Pomeranian.

 

Clare

Kennel Hand and Veterinary nurse assistant

Clare joined our team in June 2016 as a volunteer school student looking to gain a range of practical skills within the animal industry . As a valuable member of the team, Clare was made our kennel hand and vet nurse assistant in June 2016. Clare is currently working towards finishing high school, and once graduated would like to go on and study Veterinary science.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Clares’s special interests within her job role include learning about all the different procedures our clinics provides and assisting our nurses and vet’s with patients.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys dancing , cooking and spending quality time with her two Siberian Huskies, three cats, ten Guinea pigs, Twelve birds and her Sulfur Crested cockatoo.

 

Tegan

Part time Veterinary Nurse

Tegan joined our team in August 2016 as a Veterinary nurse placement gaining a range of practical skills for the completion of her certificate IV in Veterinary nursing. As a valuable member of the team, Tegan was made one of our Veterinary Nurse’s in October 2016.
Tegan’s special interests within nursing include medical nursing, wildlife and exotic animals.
Tegan endeavour’s to complete her certificate IV in Veterinary nursing to then go on and graduate as a qualified veterinary nurse in June 2017.
Outside work, Tegan enjoys being outdoors, reading, studying and relaxing with her Miniature Fox Terrier Obi.

 

Kiara

Part time Veterinary Nurse

Kiara joined our team in  Febuary 2017 as a student completing vocational placement towards her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing, Kiara was made one of our Veterinary nurse’s in June 2017.
Kiara’s special interests within nursing include critical care and emergency nursing. Now with completion of her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing is applying for her  Diploma of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care online through ACVN as well as continuing studying French at Alliance Français de Brisbane.
Outside work, Kiara enjoys painting, jogging, experimenting with vegan cooking and going on hikes with her Cavoodle Luna and Spoodle, Petal.
